Greetings card marketplace thortful commissioned new initiative to encourage freelance and independent creatives to create their own Valentine’s Day card designs, to show their love for the NHS

The initiative, which received an overwhelming response, saw designers respond to a One Minute Briefs challenge on Twitter, calling for creative ideas to reflect the love we have for the NHS.

The shortlisted designs will now be made into cards by thortful, and sent to hospitals for Valentine’s Day to show appreciation and boost staff morale in the NHS. In the brief, it was asked that cards were designed ‘with shareable and inspirational messages that NHS staff will open on Valentine’s Day and give them a smile.’

thortful joined forces with Love Your NHS - a Twitter account celebrating all things NHS - to commission the creative community to show what the NHS means to them. A number of NHS trusts have asked for thank you cards to be sent in the hope of boosting staff morale in this very difficult time.

Commenting on the initiative, thortful has said “We want to show our support and love for all of the NHS staff working so hard throughout the pandemic and, with the distressing news that mental health is deteriorating amongst frontline NHS workers, it's more important than ever to demonstrate how much we love them.

“We know the cards won’t solve the strain on our National Health Service but we want to bring some much needed joy, if even for a moment.”

thortful supports freelance and independent creatives in providing an online marketplace to market and sell their designs from all over the globe.
