Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), The Mix, Reggie Yates, Love Island's Dr Alex George and academic advice vlogger Jade Bowler come together to launch #GramFam Instagram zine series to support students’ mental health

Ahead of UK A Level results day on Thursday of this week and GCSE results day on 23 August, social media influencers and well known faces including Reggie Yates, Dr Alex George, Hussain Manawer and many others, have teamed up with Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and The Mix to launch Instagram zine series, #GramFam,to support students' mental health through exam results season.

Exam results season can undeniably be a period of great stress and anxiety for a lot of students and this brand new Instagram zine will provide useful content, support and inspiration. From today, CALM (@calmzone) and The Mix (@themixuk) will share advice from different influencers, including inspiring videos and messages, life advice, and handy tips on how to manage on the day if things don't quite go to plan.

The #GramFam project will encourage even more young people to join in conversations around mental health and to ask for help when they need it - as well as enlisting them to support others across Instagram and share their own student experiences and concerns.

The first in the #GramFam zine series, the Results #GramFam zine includes contributions from: Reggie Yates, sharing his personal experience of following multiple paths to find his success, Dr Alex George discussing anxiety and how he coped with exam stress, Poet Hussain Manawer on why there is no wrong path to success and Kiss Radio DJ Neve Spencer sharing her ultimate pre and post results playlist.

Speaking about the inspiration behind #GramFam Chris Martin, CEO at The Mix said: "For many young people, being a student is an exciting experience, but they can also face lots of challenges especially around exam results period. Sadly, we have seen a shocking rise among students reporting poor mental health where such challenges become an overwhelming source of anxiety and sometimes even suicidal thoughts.

"The Mix is excited to be working with CALM to create #GramFam on Instagram. We want to bring together students, influencers and experts to create a positive community that works together to promote good mental health, whatever a young person is facing."

The first zine launches today, 14 August and the #GramFam zine series will consist of five zines, each focused around key moments in the academic calendar.

Poet @hussains_house on how grades on a piece of paper aren't going to make your life, and to not be afraid of failure. #GramFam “Results Day! That's that one day in my life when I walked so slowly to school, because I thought I was going to fail. And you know what? I did! To anyone out there who has results that you weren't planning on getting...it's only a lesson in life, from this point onwards, if you learn from it. Remember, we live in a day and age where schools and educational institutes no longer hold the barriers to success. Use this as an opportunity to fuel your fire, and strive towards what you want to get. Ultimately, hard work, and keeping a clean heart, will take you to places you've never dreamed of.” Support your fam on the gram! Tag your mates in the comments and tell us your experience of pre-result nerves and what helps you chill. Didn't get the results you wanted? Need some support?
